Sharing and service providers

Access to personal information is limited to Lead Prospect team members who need it for their work. We share information outside Lead Prospect only in these cases:

  • Service providers who help us run our business, under contracts that require them to protect the information and use it only for the services they provide to us. These include our website hosting and WordPress plugins (forms, translation), our CRM and automation platform (Zoho), our email marketing platform (Brevo), our project management and meeting note tools (ClickUp, Microsoft Teams), our accounting software, and our accountants.
  • Our clients, when we collect information as part of a mandate we carry out for them, such as a prospecting campaign or a partner program.
  • Event partners, such as a chamber of commerce co-organizing a workshop, limited to what is needed to run the event.
  • Legal reasons, when the law requires it or allows it, for example to respond to a court order or to protect our rights.
  • Business transactions, if Lead Prospect is involved in a merger, sale or similar transaction, under an agreement that protects the information.

Storage outside Quebec

Some of our service providers store or process information outside Quebec, including elsewhere in Canada, the United States and the European Union. Before communicating personal information outside Quebec, we assess whether it will receive adequate protection, taking into account its sensitivity, the purpose of its use and the safeguards in place, and we put written agreements in place with those providers. Information held outside Quebec may be accessible to local authorities under the laws of that jurisdiction.

B2B prospecting on behalf of clients

As part of our business development services, we contact businesses on behalf of our clients, mainly in manufacturing, construction, robotics and automation. For this work we use professional contact information only: name, job title, company, business email, business phone and publicly available professional profile details. We do not use personal contact details for prospecting.

When we contact you on behalf of a client, we identify Lead Prospect and the client we represent. You can ask us at any time where we obtained your information, ask us to stop contacting you, or ask us to delete your information. We will record your request so that you are not contacted again for that client or by Lead Prospect, as you choose.

Commercial electronic messages

We send commercial emails only with your express consent, or where CASL allows implied consent, for example when you have an existing business relationship with us or when your business email is conspicuously published and our message relates to your professional role. Every commercial message identifies the sender and includes a working unsubscribe link. We process unsubscribe requests within 10 business days.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to keep risks low.

If a confidentiality incident occurs, we act quickly to reduce the risk of harm and keep a register of incidents. If an incident presents a risk of serious injury, we notify the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec and the people affected, as the law requires.
